Well, to learn any foreign languages, what is better then to know a little history about that country. The original name of Thailand was Si�m. In 1893 cedes Laos to France. 1939 changed its name back to Thailand. In 1943-1945, Siam was an ally of Japan occupies 4 northern Malay states. 1945-49, Thailand was named Siam again. In 1949 Regains the Thailand name (fotw).
Thailand is a Buddhism country located in the Southeast Asia, it resides just west of Laos and Cambodia. The capital of Thailand is Bangkok, it is one of the most visited city in Siam. Just like Bangkok, Chaing Mai is also one big city located in the northern part of Thailand. About 75 percent of the people are Siam, and about 14  percent are Chinese ethnics. Thailand is a tropical country and the leading rice producer. Thailand also has the leading percentage of literacy among kids age under 12, compared to its neighbor country as Loas, Cambodia, and Vietnam (Encarta).
Their language came from Mon-Khmer. Mon-khmer language come from Myanmar (Burma), and Khmer (Cambodia). Furthermore, Mon-Khmer alphabits borrowed from the Indian languages Sankrit and Pali. Sankrit came from Aryans a group of nomadic tribes from central Asia; they entered India around 1500 BC. They believed to be the first people to brought an early form of Sankrit. Furthermore, Sankrit is a language that long nearly all the major languages of Euro and many Asia, belong to the Indo-European family. Pali Prakrit is a popular dialects related to Sankrit. Sankrit and its related languages and dialects are known as the Indo-Aryan languages (World Literature).

Before we can go on, first you have to read the below sentences carefully.
The color BLUE is for male speaking; the color PINK is for female speaking. These two colors are PHONETIC Thai sentences, in other word, blue and pink are Thai/English to help you learn thai easily.
More importantly, to speak Thai in a correct way, one must know and recognize the differences between male speaking and female peaking, NO, I am not talking about the colors blue and pink any more. Please pay attention closely. To be more polite, guys you have to use POM (I, Me), KRAP (in Khmer is like a BAHT, Yes); ladies you have to use Di-Chan or Chan (I, ME), KA (in Khmer is like JA, yes). Kao-jai mai (do you understand)? Kao-jai (yes, I understand).  Mai kao-jai (no, I don’t understand). Mai bpenrai (that is all right). Hey guys and girls, you can can polite particle to the end of these red words.
